Breeze through long lines at toll plazas with RoadPay FASTag – FIRSTForward. It’s a simple, reloadable tag, which is affixed to the inside of your car’s windscreen, enabling you to automatically pay for tolls, parking, and more. It uses Radio-Frequency Identification, (RFID), which lets you pay for fuel and zip through fuel stations. You can buy FASTag online after completing your FASTag registration, and even get a FASTag recharge online at your convenience. About FASTag

FASTag is a device that uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to make toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. It is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle and enables the user to drive through toll plazas, without stopping for cash transactions. The tag has a validity of 5 years and one only needs a FASTag recharge to top up the tag as per requirement.

How FASTag Works

How we make payments faster

  • When passing a toll, go through the FASTag lane
  • Your FASTag will be scanned automatically by the RFID reader
  • The fee will be deducted as per the toll fare

Fuel

  • Download the RoadPay FASTag (FIRSTforward) App and activate fuel payments from the ‘Fuel Payments’ section in the menu
  • At the fuel station, share your mobile number and vehicle registration number (last 4 digits) linked with FASTag
  • Enter OTP received from bank on POS terminal and fuel charges will be deducted from your FASTag account

Parking

  • When passing a FASTag-enabled parking plaza, go through the FASTag lane
  • Your FASTag will be scanned automatically by RFID reader or handheld reader
  • Fee will be deducted as per the parking fare

  • Download the FIRSTforward App or click here (www.firstforward.idfcbank.com)
  • Select the service request option.
  • Select Tag closure from the drop down.
  • Select the vehicle number.
  • Enter the PAN and validate.
Update your mobile number registered with FASTag
Update Mobile number
  • Download the FIRSTforward App or click here (www.firstforward.idfcbank.com)
  • Select “Service request” option from the Menu options.
  • Select “Mobile number Update” from Update type “Drop down.”.
  • Enter the New Mobile number that to be updated and select submit.
  • You will receive a Digi-Locker authentication link to your new Mobile number.
  • Digi-locker authentication has to be completed within 4 minutes.
  • Post Successful Digi locker authentication, your new mobile number will be updated.

How to raise Toll transaction disputes
  • Download the FIRSTforward App or click here (www.firstforward.idfcbank.com)
  • Go to My dispute tab in the Website.
  • Select the disputed transaction.
  • Select the Dispute reason from drop down.
  • According to the dispute type please upload the necessary document proofs as below.
    • Excess Debit – RC Copy
    • Debit adjustment – RC Copy
    • Monthly pass related disputes – RC Copy & Monthly pass receipt
    • Cash payment along with online debit – Cash payment receipt
    • Enter the refund amount (full /Partial)
    • Submit the request.
    • Your dispute raised successfully.
  • KINDLY NOTE TOLL PAYMENT DISPUTE Should be raised within 40 days from the date of Transaction.

Steps to update Vehicle registration number
  • Download the FIRSTforward App or click here (www.firstforward.idfcbank.com)
  • Select “Service request” option from the Menu options.
  • Keep your RC COPY Front and Back image ready.
  • Select “RC Update” from the drop down menu.
  • Select your “Chassis number” from the drop down.
  • Enter your “Vehicle registration number” Format: Ex: MH01AB1234 or 22BH1234A.
  • Upload Front and back RC Copy image.
  • Click on “Submit”.
  • Post Successful, “Pari Vahan” validation your Vehicle number will be updated.

Recharge your FASTag account
Steps To close your fastag
  • Download the FIRSTforward App or click here (www.firstforward.idfcbank.com)
  • Login with your registered mobile number and OTP
  • Select “Recharge” option from the HOME Tab or from the menu option on the left side.
  • Enter or select the amount.
  • Select the desired payment option and complete your recharge.
  • Recharge through UPI ID
    • Enter VPA which follows common patterns for all FASTags NETC. vehicle number@idfcnetc example NETC.MH01AB1234@idfcnetc
    • Above Customized UPI ID can be used for recharge through any UPI ID.
    • After entering VPA as above, click on send money.
      • Enter amount to be reloaded.
      • FASTag is recharged.
    • Select the desired payment option and complete your recharge.
  • Recharge Through other applications | BBPS
    Visit any BBPS App such as BHIM, PayTm, Phone Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay etc.
    • Click on Recharge
    • Select option IDFC FIRST Bank FASTag
    • Enter Vehicle Number (Chassis based recharges are not allowed)
    • Enter amount to be reloaded.
    • and the FASTag is recharged.

    NETC | FASTag

    National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) is an initiative by Indian Highway Management Company Ltd., managed by National Payments Corporation of India. The aim of this programme is to simplify the process of toll payment collection by making it automated. This will make commutation across toll points hassle-free and less chaotic in terms of traffic.

    NETC programme, through the FASTag device, employs the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology which enables direct payment of toll charges from the prepaid account linked to it. This is also counted as a Prepaid Payment Instrument as per the RBI guidelines.

    With NETC FASTag, you get the benefit of cashless payments along with the comfort of saving time and fuel.
